Through the slow music of Schubert, Verdi, Mascagni and Mahler, we ponder on the pace of modern living. Already exacerbated by technology, this project leads you to look inward at the seduction of speed.

This December, re: mix traces some of the music of popular culture and examines how they have become the "standards" of today. As a collaborative project with local composer Kelly Tang, re: mix is also interested in the potentiality of these music as concert pieces for the contemporary classical petit ensemble.
