Introduction

re: mix is a new musical force in the classical music scene in Singapore. Led by violinist Foo Say Ming, re: mix comprises Singapore’s finest local and international chamber musicians.

re: mix prides themselves on creating new variations of Western classical music. Like the popular culture definition of “remix”, the group redefines the music of popular culture, dance, and film with the classical genre, yet at the same time maintains the demanding performing standards of the classical musical ensemble.

re: mix also encourages to local composers to fuse tradition and various genres for the petit ensemble, and looks forward to performing such works.
